Package updates, streaming and micro weddings for 2021

Well, so far 2021 isn’t going to plan 😦 We’re still in lockdown and working with our current Winter and Spring clients to reschedule their bookings. If you have a booking with us and need any help, please drop Graeme an email. Please let me assure you there are no charges for swapping dates in these exceptional circumstances. We’re happy to help 🙂

Things are still a challenge for the wedding industry and the world in general. We’ve decided to keep our January sale running a bit longer during these tough times.

As wedding restrictions are likely to be in place for the foreseeable future we’re revising our current packages inline with popular requests and downsizing the number of videographers we have attending events.

Due to 2021 wedding postponements we now have more time available for micro wedding bookings in Summer 2021. We expect these to be snapped up once restrictions relax, so please get in touch if you need a photographer 🙂

We have a micro wedding option available which covers weddings from 2 to 3 hours – Kiss micro wedding package

We have had to downscale our video options for new bookings from today onwards. Which are now available as a Highlight video option only.

Why have we done this?

Ceremonies have been radically shortened with restrictions, we’ve even had cases where we were not even allowed to take photos during the ceremony. As a result, it doesn’t seem fair to offer this service at our usual price. Recording ceremonies is quite a task to do properly and requires more staff, equipment and editor costs. Which is all factored into our package usual pricing. Which would mean you’d get much less value for money 😦 So for now, we think it’s best to pull the ceremony and speech video upgrade.

However, we are working on an alternative…

We are planning some live streaming tests with the hope of allowing customers to stream their ceremony via a private web link. If all goes well it will be launched as an optional upgrade in Summer 2021. Stay tuned for more updates!

Stay safe

January sale 2021!

It’s that time of year again! We’re opening up our books for 2023 (we also have spaces in 2021 and 2022) and we have some revised packages available.

We’re expecting things to be very busy in the post-pandemic wedding world. So we recommend booking in advance.

The sale will run from 2nd Jan 2021 until 28th Feb 2021. For new bookings only.

Autumn update and micro wedding options extended to 2021

Well, what a year it’s been! We’re still working away on our micro weddings for the rest of 2020 and since things are a little difficult with restrictions we’re continuing to offer our micro wedding packages into 2021. (More info on those here)

We’ve seen a huge demand for bookings in 2021, some dates are still available but it’s looking like a very busy spring and summer season!

Our video packages have been revised to reflect recent changes and increased demand for video. With guest numbers being limited it’s a fab way to share your special day with friends and family that are unable to make your big day.

We’re working with two videographers now and we’ll be expanding video coverage options for 2021 and beyond.

2020 has proven a challenge with only 10% of our bookings able to go ahead but we’re eternally grateful for all the couples who’ve booked us and/or rescheduled during this time ❤️ It’s an incredibly difficult time for the wedding/event industry and although we’re not getting any government grants or funding, we’re 100% positive we will survive thanks to the bookings that have been able to go ahead in 2020.

Thankfully current guest number restrictions do not include photographers. For safety reasons we will be wearing masks where required and adhering to venue/government safety guidelines.

Stay safe folks x

Update July 2020

Some wedding businesses are planning to reopen their doors to the public from 15th June. BSC are continuing to practice social distancing to protect our clients and of course friends and family. As such we’ve decided not to reopen the office to visitors just yet, we’re going to continue to offer phone meetings in the meantime 🙂

We’re still taking bookings for 2020 (spaces now very limited), 2021 and 2022 and will be making additional booking dates available for 2021 due to extra demand for postponed 2020 weddings.

We’re now offering micro wedding packages at a really affordable rate for those couples who decide they want an intimate wedding. See our packages for more info.

We’ll be monitoring government advice and at present we’re expecting the office to remain closed to visitors until August 2020 at the earliest.

Weddings/events in 2020…

We will continue to offer free rescheduling of weddings under these exceptional circumstances. If we’re not available on your new date we will do our utmost to help you find a replacement photographer. So far we’ve managed to reschedule all of our weddings 🙂

Safety at events in 2020 (updated July 2020 following new guidelines)

We are hoping events will be going ahead from August 2020 onwards, although realistically we do expect some limitations to be imposed. If you are uncertain about your event going ahead please contact your venue for the most up to date information.

For the foreseeable future, our photographers will wear masks (unless otherwise requested masks are now mandatory for our staff until further notice) at events and maintaining social distancing during photo shoots and events. We’ll speak to all of our couples prior to their booking to ensure you are comfortable.

We will not be using multiple camera operators where possible to ensure minimal risk.

We’re expecting limitations for events and social gatherings to continue for a while yet, perhaps even into 2021. If you have any concerns or questions please drop us an email to hello@bscweddings.co.uk

Please keep an eye on our website and social media for updates. We are continuing to follow government guidelines but these may be subject to change.
